Shah Alam, 31 October 2025 – The future doesn’t just happen, it’s built. And this year, that belief earned HELP International School the title of Champion in the “Future-Ready School (Private/International)” category at the TalentCorp LIFE AT WORK Awards 2025.

This honour reflects HELP International School’s ongoing commitment to preparing students not only for academic success, but also for the challenges and opportunities of the future world of work. The award acknowledges the school’s forward-thinking educational philosophy, which nurtures creativity, collaboration, and resilience, the key qualities that equip students to thrive in an ever-changing global landscape.

“We’ve always said we’re preparing students not just for exams, but for life,” said Martin van Rijswijk, Principal of HELP International School. “This award is a powerful affirmation that education isn’t just about grades, it’s about equipping young people with the courage, grit and creativity to navigate whatever the world throws their way.”

The LIFE AT WORK Awards, organised annually by Talent Corporation Malaysia Berhad (TalentCorp), honour organisations and institutions that champion inclusive, diverse, and family-friendly workplaces while building a future-ready Malaysia. TalentCorp, the strategic think tank under the Ministry of Human Resources, carried the theme “Driving Inclusivity,

Powering Sustainability” for this year’s Awards. The “Future-Ready School” category recognises schools that are leading the way in developing students with the mindset, skills and adaptability required in an evolving global economy.

Since its inception, TalentCorp has worked closely with employers, educators, and policymakers to shape Malaysia’s talent landscape – ensuring that both students and professionals are equipped for the demands of a changing world. HELP International School’s win underscores the importance of aligning education with that broader national vision.

HELP International School’s winning submission highlighted its distinctive 10 Masteries framework, a holistic approach that empowers students to excel intellectually, emotionally, socially, creatively, physically, morally, and technologically. In addition, these Masteries nurture not only academic excellence but also leadership, career development, and international mindedness, the foundation of a truly future-ready education.

One example of the 10 Masteries in action is Project Purpose, a Sixth Form elective that empowers Year 12 students to become changemakers by developing social enterprises that address real-world challenges. In 2023, the programme gained national attention when leading accelerator 1337 Ventures invested RM50,000 in a student-led initiative, Bridge, which proposed Malaysia’s first English-to-Malay braille dictionary and a digital platform linking youth with NGOs and social enterprises. The project was later featured on BFM, reflecting HELP International School’s commitment to nurturing innovative, socially-driven, and future-ready leaders.

“The 10 Masteries guide everything we do, how we teach, how our students learn, and how our community grows. At HELP International School, we believe the future isn’t something we wait for. It’s something we build together, every single day,” Dr Gerard J Louis, co-Chief Executive Office (K-12) of HELP Education Group added.
