Thailand is a core right-hand drive market for DFLZM’s ASEAN strategy. In March 2026, FORTHING officially launched its brand in Bangkok, introducing the new energy SUV FRIDAY, marking the shift from product export to brand localization. Over the next three years, DFLZM plans to build at least 100 sales and service outlets in Thailand with Thai partners and gradually introduce eight right-hand drive new energy models, striving to build the second 10,000-unit market in ASEAN.

During the homecoming visit, Thai customers toured FORTHING’s passenger vehicle smart factory, observing the full manufacturing process and experiencing the quality control of lean vehicle production. At DFLZM’s proving ground, three main new energy models—the TK5 EV, TK5 PHEV, and TK7 EV—were on display. Thai dealers and sub-dealers test-drove the vehicles, experiencing FORTHING’s driving quality and intelligent features firsthand.

During the closed-door session, both sides held in-depth discussions covering Thai consumer demand, channel development, and service network layout, reaching consensus on future product introduction and market expansion.

Between business sessions, Thai customers took a night cruise along the Liu River, enjoying the night charm of industrial Liuzhou. They then visited Yangshuo, cruising the Li River and watching the Guilin Songcheng Show—experiencing Chinese culture amid the landscape.

From Bangkok to Liuzhou, from product export to brand localization, this far-reaching homecoming journey is both a continuation of friendship and a new starting point for FORTHING to deepen its presence in Thailand and win-win cooperation with partners across ASEAN. Looking ahead, FORTHING will continue to work side by side with Thai partners, bringing more competitive new energy products and improved service systems to the Thai market, and injecting new momentum into China-Thailand automotive cooperation.
