Vietnamese Tea Exports to China and India Rise Sharply

Vietnam’s tea industry is heavily export oriented, with about 80 percent of its annual total output supplying foreign markets.

At the same time, the volume of exports to China and India rose by 104.8 percent and 560.5 percent respectively during the same period.

The spike in numbers in tea exports from Vietnam is said to be contributed by the disruption caused by the pandemic, as well as prolonged drought that has badly affected the India, which is a global tea exporter.
