This is the case for SSDU Innovations Sdn Bhd (SSDU), who is shortlisted to receive the International Business Review ASEAN Awards 2020 for Government Delivery Services. Managing Director, Dr Fahmi Ngah expresses that good ideas from the government and private sectors are always welcome in order to nurture long-term solutions that will benefit Selangoreans.
How do you build a dream? Through focus and dedication. Smart Selangor is a vision that is the first of its kind in Malaysia. However, despite the challenges faced by SSDU, the company led each smart initiative under the Smart Selangor Action Plan with thorough planning and careful execution. These are the qualities that have enabled SSDU to be shortlisted for the International Business Review ASEAN Awards 2020 for Government Delivery Services.
How do you strengthen a vision? The answer is by building strong foundations. When asked about how SSDU Innovations Sdn Bhd (SSDU) is contributing to the economic growth and development of Selangor and to Malaysia, Managing Director Dr Fahmi Ngah emphasises the role that the company plays in laying the groundwork for a digital economy in the State. And this is also why SSDU has been shortlisted to receive the International Business Review ASEAN Awards 2020 for Government Delivery Services.
What does it take to turn a dream into reality? The Smart Selangor vision aspires to enhance productivity in a new economy, to enable an ecosystem supported by digital infrastructures and to nurture sustainable growth for the State. And SSDU Innovations Sdn Bhd (SSDU) has been entrusted to execute this massive and daunting task into fruition.
According to Managing Director, Dr Fahmi Ngah, the organisation is essentially building foundations for a truly Smart State that will benefit Selangoreans in a digital future. Through focus and dedication, SSDU has completed up to 40% of initiatives prescribed under the Smart Selangor Action Plan – well on track to meet its deadline in 2025.
For its contributions to the economic growth and development of Selangor, and for its drive to materialise the first Smart State in Malaysia, SSDU is shortlisted to receive the International Business Review ASEAN Awards 2020 for Government Services Delivery.
