The apex trade organisation in Malaysia, the National Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (NCCIM) comprises 5 national trade organisations – the Malay Chamber of Commerce Malaysia (DPMM), the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM), the Malaysian Associated Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (MAICCI), the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MICCI) and the Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM).
The aim of the NCCIM is to “represent and promote the interests of the business community in Malaysia on the domestic and global fronts; and to be the voice of the business community”. As such it works closely with the government as well as with other trade associations within and outside Malaysia to promote and sustain economic and business activities.
Dato’ Low Kian Chuan – the President of NCCIM – speaks with our host Dato’ Beatrice Nirmala on his vision and aspirations for the organisation and how the NCCIM is helping to lead the way for Malaysian businesses to expand their horizons, both locally and regionally.
