Kampala, Uganda – Uganda’s rapidly growing construction sector will take center stage at the Construct Uganda Expo 2026, an international exhibition dedicated to construction, infrastructure, and building materials from May 21- 23, 2026. The event will be held at the UMA Show Grounds, Lugogo, Kampala, bringing together industry leaders, innovators, and stakeholders from across the globe.
Uganda’s construction industry continues to emerge as a major driver of economic growth, contributing over 12% to the nation’s GDP. Backed by sustained investment in housing, transport infrastructure, and large-scale developments such as oil pipelines, the sector has demonstrated strong upward momentum. With construction output reaching approximately UGX 2,713 billion in early 2025 and over 16% of the national budget allocated to infrastructure, Uganda presents significant opportunities for global partnerships and investment.
Despite this growth, the industry remains reliant on imports due to limited domestic manufacturing capacity—creating a favorable environment for international collaboration. India has notably strengthened its presence as a key trade partner, supplying nearly $1.27 billion worth of goods in 2024, including construction materials and machinery.
Organized by Astrovison Global FZCO, Construct Uganda Expo 2026 will serve as a dynamic platform to foster business expansion, knowledge exchange, and cross-border partnerships. The inaugural edition is expected to host around 100 exhibitors from countries including India, Uganda, China, the Philippines, Malaysia, Tanzania, South Africa, and Kenya. Supported by global media outreach, the event promises extensive international visibility and engagement.
Recognizing the growing role of Southeast Asia in the global construction landscape, Construct Uganda Expo 2026 warmly invites companies from ASEAN countries—including Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, and Vietnam—to participate as exhibitors. With Uganda’s construction sector experiencing rapid expansion and increasing demand for high-quality materials, machinery, and smart building solutions, the expo presents a strategic entry point for ASEAN businesses looking to explore new markets in East Africa. Participating companies will have the opportunity to showcase their innovations, connect with key decision-makers, and build long-term partnerships in one of Africa’s most promising construction markets.
