Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, 15 May
2026
— HELP University has once again earned global recognition at the
World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI) 2026, securing Top 100
positions in 9 out of 24 categories among 13,211 innovative cases submitted by
universities worldwide.

The achievement reinforces HELP
University’s growing international reputation as an institution recognised not
only for academic excellence, but also for innovation, leadership, industry
relevance, and societal impact.

In 2025, HELP University was
ranked 46th globally in the Visionary Leadership category among 4,866
innovative cases. Building on that momentum, the university expanded its
participation significantly in 2026 by competing across 24 categories spanning
education, innovation, leadership, research, sustainability, entrepreneurship,
AI transformation, and social impact.

Unlike traditional rankings that
focus heavily on research output and academic metrics, WURI evaluates
universities based on real-world innovation, implementability, and impact. The
rankings aim to recognise institutions that actively contribute to solving
contemporary challenges through practical, future-focused initiatives.

The evaluation process assesses
universities across three core criteria:

• Innovativeness — the
originality and creativity of programmes and institutional practices

•Implementability — the feasibility and effectiveness of execution

• Impact — the scale, depth, and significance of outcomes for students,
institutions, and communities

The nine Top 100 placements
achieved by HELP University reflect the institution’s continued emphasis on
industry engagement, entrepreneurial thinking, technological advancement,
student-centred learning, and meaningful societal contribution.

Professor Datuk Dr Paul Chan Tuck
Hoong, Chancellor and Co-Founder of HELP Education Group, described the
achievement as an important reflection of the university’s multidimensional
strengths and relevance in today’s rapidly evolving educational landscape.

“WURI provides a more rounded
perspective of universities by recognising the many dimensions of performance
and success. We are delighted that HELP University is acknowledged for areas
that reflect what we genuinely excel in and what matters most to our students
and the wider community,” he said.

He added that the growing
international recognition of WURI signals an important shift towards evaluating
universities based on innovation, adaptability, and practical impact.

The WURI 2026 results further
strengthen HELP University’s position as a forward-looking institution
committed to innovation-driven education, future-ready learning, and
transformative impact as it continues celebrating its 40th anniversary
milestone this year.
