KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia, August 7, 2026 — HostVeritas, a Malaysia-built web hosting directory created for a global audience, has officially launched with structured profiles covering 156 hosting companies.
Founded by Malaysian digital entrepreneur Jerry Low and developed by the team behind HostScore and WebRevenue, HostVeritas helps hosting shoppers search for providers by company name, hosting service, and server location. Its directory includes established international brands alongside regional, independent, and specialized hosting companies.
Unlike conventional affiliate-driven comparison websites, HostVeritas does not use affiliate links or earn referral commissions when visitors choose a hosting provider.
HostVeritas Separates Hosting Discovery from Affiliate Commissions
Web hosting shoppers frequently encounter the same internationally marketed companies across search results, comparison articles, and promotional websites. Strong advertising budgets, established search visibility, and affiliate programs all affect which hosting providers receive the most exposure.
This model can make regional and specialized providers harder to discover, even when their server locations, payment options, technical capabilities, language support, or local market experience may better match a buyer’s requirements.
HostVeritas addresses this problem through a non-affiliate directory model. Hosting companies cannot pay for higher customer ratings or the removal of negative reviews. Commercial Featured placements are visibly labeled and do not alter the default directory order.
These safeguards do not mean HostVeritas makes every decision for the buyer. Instead, they separate commercial visibility from customer ratings and give shoppers a wider, more transparent starting point for researching hosting companies.
Independent research supports the need for a broader view of the market. A study by researchers from SIDN Labs, Delft University of Technology, and the University of Twente analyzed 150 million domains across 19 top-level domains (source). More than one-third of the measured domains were hosted by five large US providers.
However, the study also found that local providers played a more prominent role among country-code domains. Geography, national borders, and shared language influenced where these domains were hosted. The findings show a market that is concentrated among major infrastructure providers but remains geographically diverse underneath.
HostVeritas Helps Global Shoppers Find Relevant Providers
HostVeritas organizes hosting companies through structured profiles rather than placing every provider into a universal “best hosting” ranking.
Visitors can browse categories covering shared hosting, VPS hosting, cloud hosting, dedicated servers, managed WordPress hosting, reseller hosting, email hosting, bare metal servers, GPU hosting, and specialized services.
Company profiles may include information about hosting services, infrastructure, server locations, support channels, pricing ranges, and specialized capabilities where these details are available. Buyers can also read moderated customer reviews and identify profiles maintained by authorized company representatives.
The directory distinguishes between company-supplied information, customer feedback, independent records, and paid visibility. This separation helps visitors understand the source of the information they are evaluating.
HostVeritas supports discovery and shortlisting rather than declaring one provider suitable for every shopper. A business seeking nearby infrastructure may prioritize server location. A developer may focus on VPS or bare metal access, while another buyer may require GPU capacity, regional payment support, or hosting for a specialized workload.
A Malaysian Platform Built for the Global Hosting Market
HostVeritas was conceived and developed in Malaysia, but the platform addresses hosting shoppers and providers worldwide.
Web hosting is inherently cross-border. A company may be headquartered in one country, operate infrastructure in several regions, and support customers across multiple languages and currencies. Buyers must therefore consider more than brand recognition when comparing providers.
HostVeritas places Malaysian, Southeast Asian, European, and other regional hosting companies within the same global directory as larger international brands. Regional providers are not confined to a separate local listing, allowing shoppers to discover them based on relevant services, locations, and capabilities.
“Hosting shoppers often see the same familiar companies, even though the market includes many capable regional and specialized providers,” said Jerry Low, founder of HostVeritas. “We built HostVeritas in Malaysia for a global audience, with no affiliate commissions influencing which company a visitor chooses. Commercial placements can support the platform, but they are labeled and cannot buy better ratings, remove criticism, or alter the default directory order.”
Hosting Companies Can Claim and Maintain Their Profiles
Every hosting company listed on HostVeritas receives a free, claimable profile. Company representatives must verify a claim using an email address associated with the provider’s official domain.
Claimed profiles allow authorized representatives to maintain company information and invite customers to submit moderated reviews. A claimed profile confirms that a representative manages the listing; it does not represent an endorsement from HostVeritas.
Optional paid profile tools and Featured placements are available, but payment is not required for inclusion in the directory. Hosting companies that are not currently listed can request consideration by contacting hello@hostveritas.net.
HostVeritas Complements HostScore’s Editorial Research
HostVeritas and HostScore serve different stages of the hosting research process.
HostVeritas supports broad market discovery through searchable company profiles, hosting categories, server-location data, customer reviews, and provider participation. HostScore publishes deeper editorial reviews, hosting comparisons, performance tests, and practical buying guidance for selected providers and hosting services.
Both platforms are operated by WebRevenue. HostVeritas carries “by HostScore.net” attribution while remaining a distinct platform with a non-affiliate business model.
Hosting shoppers can explore the directory at HostVeritas.net. Hosting providers can find and claim an existing listing through the HostVeritas For Brands page.
