The TXA Awards 2026 were presented on 22 October 2026 at the TXA Awards gala dinner held at Hyatt Regency Kuala Lumpur in Kuala Lumpur Midtown. Hosted by Malaysia’s Ministry of Transport, the inaugural awards were organised in conjunction with Transport Expo Asia 2026. The expo took place from 20 to 22 October 2026 at the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), with this year gathering a total of 410 companies from 23 countries. The TXA Awards recognise organisations and industry leaders whose achievements leave a mark in Malaysia’s transport and logistics ecosystem. Across nine categories, the awards celebrate excellence in infrastructure development, innovation, engineering, sustainability, safety and operational performance.
Among the nine categories, the Best Land Operator category at the TXA Awards 2026 highlights the critical synergy between rail and road infrastructure in driving Malaysia’s modern mobility forward. This year’s competition features two prominent champions of public transit that approach commuter needs from two entirely different vantage points, showcasing the vast spectrum of the nation’s transport landscape.
Two Finalists for the Best Land Operator
- Express Rail Link Sdn Bhd (ERL) operates the KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services and maintains a strong track record of 99.7% service punctuality and reliability, with 216 scheduled train trips daily. The convenience of cashless transactions and strategic partnerships enhances the overall travel experience, providing passengers with a seamless and efficient journey from trip planning through to their final destination.
- Handal Indah Sdn. Bhd. operating under the Causeway Link brand, is a Malaysian bus operator providing cross-border services between Malaysia and Singapore, with an expanding presence across Peninsular Malaysia. Through journey planning, cashless ticketing, and real-time bus arrival information, the company makes bus travel more convenient, accessible, and seamless for passengers.
Together, these finalists embody the resilience, adaptability, and passenger-first philosophies required to navigate the diverse demands of today’s commuters.
Finalists’ Recognition and Award
The highlight of the Best Land Operator category culminated in Express Rail Link (ERL) taking home the trophy as the winner of the Best Land Operator award. Accepting the award on behalf of ERL, Datin Noormah Mohd Noor, Chief Executive Officer, expressed her gratitude to the Ministry of Transport, the organisation, and its team.
“This is a great honour for ERL, and we’d love to give our heartfelt appreciation to the Ministry of Transport and the TXA Awards organising committee. This award is a testament to the dedication of our hardworking staff and team. It will inspire us to continue giving better service, and to do our part for the future of the rail industry.”
Her remark highlighted the human element behind ERL’s operational success, framing the award not merely as a corporate triumph, but as a shared victory for every employee. She emphasized that while external recognition validates the team’s relentless effort, the true measure of success lies in their daily commitment to passenger satisfaction and setting higher benchmarks for regional public transit.
The recognition at the TXA Awards serves as both a milestone and a stepping stone for both Express Rail Link and Handal Indah Sdn Bhd. As Malaysia continues to modernize its transit infrastructure, ERL’s steadfast dedication to service quality and operational reliability ensures it will remain a cornerstone of national connectivity, setting the benchmark for the future of the rail industry. At the same time, Handal Indah’s inclusion as a top finalist underscores the critical role of robust road transit and cross-border connectivity in keeping the nation moving forward. Together, both operators pave the way for a more integrated, efficient, and commuter-centric future for Malaysian public transport. Congratulations to the finalists and winner of Best Land Operator for TXA Awards 2026!
The next edition of both the expo and the awards will be in 2028. Transport Expo Asia 2026 was organised by Alpine Integrated Solution, while the TXA Awards 2026 were curated by the IBR Asia Group.
