China’s JD Flies to Bangkok

China’s e-commerce giant, JD began its first chartered cargo flights to the Asia Pacific region with flights from Shenzhen to Bangkok. The flights will operate three times a week to deliver goods ordered online between China and Thailand within 48 hours.

According to Stard Huang, President of JD International Logistics, the Southeast Asian market holds lot of prospects for the company. The launch of the cargo flights will help further enhance the relationship between the two countries.

JD has also embarked on a joint venture with Thailand’s conglomerate, Central Group to launch the online shopping platform JD Central in 2018, leveraging on the growth of cross-border e-commerce.

Recently in June, JD revealed that it has also launched its first China-US cargo flight.
