Britain, the United States, China, Singapore, Germany and others within a list of 46 have been exempted from mandatory quarantine measures when visiting Thailand.
Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha stated that visitors are free to enter the country provided that they arrive by air, and have documents showing they are fully vaccinated.
The travel arrangements are an effort by the government to revitalise the tourism industry, having lost US$50 billion in tourism revenue last year due to lockdown restrictions.
Bangkok, Hua Hin, Pattaya and other key tourist destinations had their curfews lifted at the end of October. Tourism Authority of Thailand estimates to receive 100,000 foreign visitors by the end of the year.
